Location & Grounds
The Classics is located in the green area near the Rideau River steps from Hurdman station. Hurdman station is also located on the LRT Confederation line.
The Classics is located on a 9-acre parcel of land called the Riviera complex, that contains two other condominiums. You live in a comfortable and exclusive environment complete with a 1 km walking/jogging track that winds its way through gardens, swimming pool, and manicured lawns where water fountains abound. Gazebos and picnic tables with gas barbecues are also nestled in the green areas.
You can also reach the Classics by bicycle or by walking along the paved paths and trails that stretch along the Rideau River. Sidewalks and walking trails take you to many stores and services at the Train Yards complex, or downtown to the Rideau Centre. The Riverside Hospital is close by. Other facilities such as the Montfort Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, schools and places of worship are nearby.
Suites – Unsurpassed Living Space
Units in The Classics are larger than most in the city ranging from approximately 1488 to 2133 sq. ft. plus 4 penthouses. There are wonderful views from balconies and windows including Parliament Hill, the Rideau River, Lansdowne Park, sunrises and sunsets.
This building is a good fit for owners seeking a well-managed building with long term owners, who want security and maintenance-free living in a resort type atmosphere
Preventive Maintenance Keeps this Building In Top Shape
The Classics was built to last as a Signature Collection residence in Ottawa. The Board of Directors takes a proactive approach to keeping a robust reserve fund for scheduled replacement and repair of building elements.
Most recently, the following have been renewed: tennis courts, pool, walking path, indoor spa, waterfall, spa whirlpool, and Van Gogh room/Dining facilities (this room is available for resident parties for a fee).
The windows and balcony doors are in the process of being replaced.
